Shinda Ani no Shinyuu wo Hiroimashita (2025)

Taku, a first-year student of senior high school, living in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture, witnesses a man trying to jump from a bridge. He instinctively stops the man and the two get talking. He finds out the man's name is Mitsuru and brings him home with him. With no place to stay the night, Taku allows Mitsuru to stay in his home. However, what he could never expect is that Mitsuru is a friend of his late brother who tragically died.

This drama was actually requested to me some months ago. I was already aware when I first saw the trailer, so I didn't mind subbing it since I thought it was quite easy to sub (compared to my usual projects). Going through my MDL list yesterday, I realized that I haven't posted it yet, so here it is in case someone is interested!

I wish it was 30 eps instead of 15, though. I needed more time delving into one of the relationships.

Also, I have no idea if this already has english subs on one of the reel apps. There are so many these days that it's hard to keep track. But I'm guessing it doesn't.

The title translates to "I picked up my dead brother's best friend".
